OmniSlotBox Emulator – Digital/Analog Decoder Box for Carrera Digital Tracks
Seamlessly switch between Digital and Analog racing with the OmniSlotBox Emulator – the most advanced lane-based analog emulation system available for Carrera Digital tracks.
After setting the benchmark with the original OmniSlotBox, we now bring you the Emulator: a plug-and-play solution that simulates analog control by powering each lane through external decoders, just like digital cars receive power via their onboard chips.
You are buying directly from the designers and builders. Each unit is personally assembled and tested here in the USA.
✅ Features & Benefits:
-
Instant Switching – Toggle between digital and analog with one robust switch
-
True Plug-and-Play – No wiring or soldering; simply replace your CU track section
-
Carrera Compatibility – Uses standard Carrera-compatible controllers and power supplies
-
LED Mode Indicators – Bicolor LEDs show digital/analog mode and controller coding status
-
Advanced Circuit Protection – External, easy-to-replace fuses prevent costly decoder damage

🧠 How It Works:
In Digital Mode, everything functions just like a stock Carrera system except our upgraded CU can deliver more power. In Analog Mode, the Emulator decodes controller signals and powers each lane independently – no need for onboard chips.
Limitations:
- Carrera accessories like the Start Light and Position Tower do not function in analog mode.
- Some high-performance analog cars (especially with high-amperage motors or short circuits) can exceed decoder limits. The Emulator is protected by external fuses to prevent permanent damage.
Note: Carrera digital cars running in analog mode may not perform reliably with the Emulator unless their decoder is bypassed. For full analog performance, consider stepping up to our original OmniSlotBox or XMR for "true analog" operation.
🛠️ Installation:
- Remove your existing CU track section. Setting the old CU up trackside is great for testing and coding without interrupting action on the main track.
- Use the included continuity tester to confirm proper lane isolation. Touch each rail. Battery in the tester will light if you need to make a change. No light on the tester between rails at the CU gap? Then you are good to go.
- If the tester lights, follow the printed/online owners manual instructions to correct crossed power taps or curved switch issues.
- Plug in the Emulator upgraded CU and you’re ready to race!
💡 Lap Counting in Analog Mode:
The Emulator’s CU uses sender/receiver LED pairs to detect laps by reflecting light off the underside of your cars.
- Many cars work as-is
- Others may need the included reflective tape applied
- For cars with very low or fully enclosed bottoms, a 7mm hole may be required for proper detection
⚡ Power Supply Recommendations:
To get the best performance when running:
- Six 1/32 digital cars
- Six 1/24 digital cars
- Or high-performance analog cars
...consider adding our power supply and harness upgrade. Also recommended: Carrera Controller Extension Set 30348.
